Thyroid Support Banner

Herbs of Gold Thyroid Support contains nutrients and a herbal extract, and is specifically designed to prodvide basic precursors and cofactors to assist in the management of an underactive thyroid gland. The thyroid gland is an important regulator of our metabolism, synthesizing thyroxine (T4) and to a lesser degree Triiodothyronine (T3), this latter hormone being primarily produced in peripheral tissues.

The main stimulus for thyroid activity is the hypothalamus, as it releases thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) to trigger the pituitary to release thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), which then triggers the thyroid gland into work. The thyroid gland is located under the thyroid cartilage—pronounced in males who had a high pubescent testosterone level—located on the upper portion of the throat.

Thyroid Support Product

The signs and symptoms of an underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism) can range from: depression, weight gain, constipation, dry skin to a low body temperature, amongst many others. Herbs of Gold Thyroid Support is specifically designed to support thyroid function.

It is interesting to note that despite the technological advances of modern times, and the development of self-landing rockets and artificial intelligence, we can still be deficient in basic nutrients, like iodine. In fact, Australia has been identified as one of the countries with a mild iodine deficiency, according to research in school children carried out in 2003-20041.

Iodine is actually a structural component of T3 and T4, as they contain three and four atoms of iodine each, respectively, as the abbreviation indicates. And you can try all you like, but building a house without glass just is not going to be the same. We need iodine to physically synthesize these important thyroid hormones. Herbs of Gold Thyroid Support provides 145mcg iodine per tablet.

There are of course many nutrients required for the synthesis and conversion of thyroid hormones. However, an ayurvedic herbal medicine called Withania somnifera has been demonstrated in clinical trials to regulate the activity of this gland. Also known as Indian Ginseng, Ashwagandha and Winter Cherry, Withania has been demonstrated to normalise TSH, T4 and T3 levels in subclinical hypothyroidism.

This is great news, as Withania is a safe and gentle herb also used in herbal medicine as an apaptogenic, mild sedative and to support the nervous system. Furthermore, Herbs of Gold Thyroid Support contains selenium, required as a cofactor for the activity of the deiodinase enzymes, which need to convert T4 to T3, and other important nutrients, including vitamin C, zinc and the conditionally-essential amino acid tyrosine3.

Herbs of Gold Thyroid Support truly is a unique product that assists in the management of hypothyroidism, providing supportive nutrients and a specific herbal extract.
