USP Labs Amino Lift Review
You can forget about all those energy drinks and extra shot espressos: enter USP Labs AminoLift. All of the energy and none of the jitters - at least that’s what the manufacturers reckon. We put it to our own test this month.
Key features
This tub of powdered amino acids is designed to increase your overall energy levels without introducing the nasty side effects that you might normally associate with energy-boosting products.
Ingredients & dosage
USP Labs AminoLift works on two main levels. With every single scoop dose (no more than three in one day) providing 15 mg Vitamin B1, 20 mg Vitamin B6, and 120 mcg Vitamin B12. These are the natural energy increasers of multivitamin formulations and they work in tandem with the rest of the ingredients.
6.2 g of every scoop is AminoLift’s AminoEssentials+ Blend, and this includes micronized Taurine, L-Alanine, Glycine, L-Glutamine, L-Leucine, L-Citrulline, L-Lysine, L-Phenylalanine, L-Valine, L-Isoleucine, L-Methionine, L-Histidine, and L-Threonine. All the essential amino acids including the potent BCAA’s along with a couple of extras that have mood enhancing and other important actions.
Just a few more notes on some of these aminos:
Micronized taurine is an antioxidant that helps to enhance and improve your workout. The glutamine is there to aid the immune system as it can be compromised by overtraining. Leucine helps with the synthesis of muscle proteins, and Isoleucine and Valine are said to decrease muscle damage during exercise; something we all fight against now and again.
The final matrix in USP Labs AminoLift is the Focused Energy Blend, with 402 mg per scoop. This includes Choline Bitartrate, Caffeine anhydrous, Green Tea Extract, and Yerba Mate Extract. This set of ingredients work together with the rest of the product to give you energy and lift concentration and focus levels.
Pros & efficacy of the product
USP Labs AminoLift has a nice clean taste; no residue left in the mouth and no unwanted stomach acid.
The best thing about this energy-boosting magic dust is that we recorded absolutely no jitters whatsoever, and no crash either. It’s probably best to stick to the daily dose of no more than 3 scoops, or it’s likely that those shakes might make an appearance.
It provided a nice energy kick – and we liked the versatile dosage regime depending on whether your after a pre-workout hit or a nice shot of energy for a 3pm pick up.
Taste & Mixability
We definitely preferred watermelon flavor over fruit punch but each to his own when it comes to flavour.
AminoLift mixed well, and tasted better when it was more dilute. One scoop is good for at least 500 ml.
Conclusion
We loved it! USP Labs AminoLift is a product that does what it says on the container.
